CLT frame

CLT frame from one party.

Coreframe delivers load-bearing frames in CLT (cross-laminated timber). We design together with your architect and structural engineer, manufacture the elements industrially, and erect with our own crew on site.

01 — The material

Cross-laminated, dimensionally stable, quiet.

CLT is built from boards glued crosswise in several layers. The cross-layup yields a panel that is dimensionally stable, stiff and load-bearing as both wall and floor. The material is easy to machine and erect — installation is quiet, without vibration from impact or piling.

02 — Our commitment

All the way, not just delivery.

We take responsibility for the frame from design through erection. That means the same people who drew the solution are there when the frame goes up — fewer handovers, fewer misunderstandings, shorter time to weather-tight.

03 — When it's not enough

Complement with Ytong if needed.

For multi-family housing with high acoustic requirements we often combine CLT with Ytong in a hybrid frame — CLT in floors and exterior walls, Ytong in apartment-separating walls. We recommend solutions based on project needs, not based on what we prefer to sell.

FAQ

What we get asked the most.

What is CLT?+

CLT (cross-laminated timber) is mass timber built from several layers of boards glued crosswise. The cross-layup gives stiffness and low deformation, and lets the panel act as load-bearing in both walls and floors.

When is CLT the right choice?+

CLT suits projects where you want to shorten build time, lower the structural weight and get a frame that is quiet to erect. For multi-family housing with high acoustic requirements we often combine CLT with Ytong in a hybrid frame.

How many storeys can you build?+

Six to eight storeys is common with current Swedish regulations and proven solutions. Higher structures are possible with specific fire engineering documentation.

How is the moisture resistance?+

CLT tolerates short moisture exposure but should be protected against prolonged rain. We plan the erection sequence and weather protection so the frame becomes weather-tight quickly.

What about fire?+

CLT is a timber material and chars at a predictable rate, which means fire design with proper over-sizing and cladding yields approved fire classes.
